People must be stupid when they bash each other for their drawing, thinking that it's not art.

I think they're both cool.
I do traditional sketches when I'm not on the computer, but that DOESN'T mean I'm not going to colour some sketches when I get a new tablet.

I don't go to a lot traditional art groups because I haven't got good colouring tools.
Just sketch groups. C:

And traditional artists will become extinct?
What are you guys talking about?

I've seen kind of lot of traditional art, so I don't understand why I should think they'll die out like dinosaurs.

This is something I don't believe because... it's silly! xD
And I'm sure they have support too. c:

But anyway, both of the media can be stressful sometimes.
Neither of them is easy.
And why do the media matter anyway?
Can't we just support both?

And besides that, I don't get why some traditional artist are so negative about digital art and the digital artists.
Even if the traditional art, itself is unpopular, I just don't get why?
I've seen a stamp that supports traditional art but when I looked at the title, it said "F*CK DIGITAL ART"
I find it really disrespectful.
I would have faved it... if it weren't for the offensive title.

Being a digital/traditional artist is not an excuse to be a jerk to someone who is a different media artist.

I don't understand people who say that a drawing is not art because it was not made on paper and call themselves "true artists".

It’s like saying “True owners own a cat or a dog, not a bird, a reptile, a fish, a bug, a rabbit, a guinea pig or any other pet animals that aren’t cats or dogs”.

Just because you think that, doesn't instantly make you right or correct, I might not be right or correct either but...

I honestly don’t believe that traditional art is the only true art.

I don't believe in most "true" _____ much and I don't care anyway.

And quite mostly, I don’t want to be a true artist, I just want to be an ARTIST.

I think there’s more to art than just digital drawing and traditional drawing.
And yes, there's more to traditional art than just pencil and paper.

Digital art and photography can be art too.

And if digital art, photography, emoticons and stamps are not art, then why does deviantART accepts them?

Even if people think that digital art is not real art, I will always be doing digital art, especially traditional art.


I'm not forcing anyone to do the same media as I do...
But yeah, I support both traditional and digital.


You don't have to be against digital art to be a traditional artist.
And you don't have to be against traditional art to be a digital artist.
And hating a media doesn't make you any cooler than the others.

No media is better.
We are not rivals, we are just artists.
This is deviantART, not deviantMEDIAWAR.

I'd rather get along with someone who doesn't always do the same media as I do.
We can both get along.

I do traditional art, but I also do digital art.

It's not my fault that you don't like what I do.

Tl;dr?
I just don’t support traditional art snobs.

I might be aware that digital art snobs exist...

But I’ve seen more traditional art snobs than digital art snobs.

Then again, I think digital art snobs are just as bad as traditional art snobs.

Seriously, they should have some respect and chill out. :[
