I've tried to get across that the amount of physical dexterity it takes to play a "real" instrument requires the same amount of talent as an artist using hardware (but applied in ways of technological knowledge and problem solving; the variables at stake are immense)
Classical/orchestra music only interests me if I can think of a scene to go with it, or one is provided. Fanastasia (the movie) is a good example of this because I can easily draw to most of the pieces in there, and I am still entertained if I am not. Techno background music gives me headaches if I listen to it for more than two songs (about 5-7 minutes). This means that most radio stations are out. I'm more interested in a song if it has an instrument in it that is unusual compared to the rest of the music track. For example, Ali Project (a Japanese band) has violins in the background music, which goes surprisingly well with the more techno feel of the rest of the background music. It also provides a point to focus on when the headaches start to come. The only country instrument that I like hearing is the banjo. Unfortunately, I cannot find a lot of good songs where I can hear one. I'm also drawn to older music, partially because of the headache factor, partially because I was raised on it, and partially because the singing voices are more unique.
Yeah, some people get all technical about techno music being made with a synthesizer and how "It's not REAL music!". But I think the truth is anything that has a rhythm and a tune can be classified as, a song! Also, some techno music artists use a lot of strings and piano in their songs.
Thank you so much for making this comment. Glad to see someone who actually gets it. Me and other techno fans are sick and tired of all of the stupid assumptions of everything electronic. What's funny is that these kinds of people try to act like they're smart, when they can't even understand opinions, whereas there are more electronic fans that understand opinions more than those from other genres, with the exception of certain types of Daft Punk fans. But that's another story...

Anyways, Thank you so much.
Yeah, I agree.
