This is so true. I find nothing wrong with being a girly male; there's no set way to be a man, woman or a non-binary. You can be girly and still be straight. Or gay. Or bisexual. Or asexual. Or anything. It doesn't matter, because sexualities are not personalities, and because being feminine doesn't mean you're weak. You're not a sissy faggot if you are male and like to watch My Little Pony - you're a person who likes to watch My Little Pony. But I'd love if girly boys were REALLY respected in our society. I mean, especially in many anime and yaoi fandoms, stupid fans tend to say they have nothing against them, but that's only because "OMG YAOI DESU I LUV GIRLY BOYS THEY ARE SO CUTE UKES!!!111" and then they retch and gag and laugh when they see one in real life.
I myself don't care about the stupid gender roles in our world. I usually wear "boyish" clothes like dark blue T-shirts and jackets, but I also wear a light-blue pajama with cute penguin patterns when I sleep. I hate "girly" things like going to clothing stores (It's boring. Blargh. I'd rather visit video game stores.) but I also have my room full of plush animals. (They're my babies. End of the story. ) I like science fiction, Batman and war history, but I've always been a fan of W.I.T.C.H and other series that are usually considered "girly". I love the 90s cartoons, comics and shipping. I never think if something I do is "gay" or "manly". I just don't care, because our acts never depend on what is between our legs. There's no set way to be a man, nor a woman nor a non-binary.
Thanks. I'm happy that you respect him for being himself.
